We give Foleil's online AI service an explicit choice. Use Sprout's AI has a visible switch, an agreement and a record of when you agreed or turned it off. Turning the service off stops new requests to Foleil's AI and leaves the available device-based paths in view.

The advantage is a practical control connected with the feature you are using. It is not a promise that every possible question stays on the phone, that an earlier submission disappears from the provider or that a separate connected ChatGPT route has identical controls. Those distinctions matter when personal health context is involved.

How it works

After the required agreement, Use Sprout's AI starts on and can be turned off in Settings. Turning it on again presents the consent screen and records a fresh agreement; while off, relevant features show a small in-context card beside the available local result. Read the named-provider and data-use disclosure before sending, and treat separately connected external routes according to their own applicable choices.

Why it matters

Control is meaningful when it describes both what changes now and what it cannot undo. Stopping a new request is different from deleting information a provider already received. Likewise, disabling saved personal context does not make the words you submit to an online service local.

Apple's Consumer Health Personal Data Privacy Policy, accessed 19 October 2026, identifies transparency, control and data minimisation among its privacy principles. We cite that as official context for understandable health-data choices, not as an endorsement or certification of Foleil's own policies. Our applicable Privacy Policy describes our service.

Compared with other health and fitness tools

Athlytic's official overview, accessed 19 October 2026, describes on-device processing of its health-data experience. Local processing is already part of this category, so Foleil does not claim unique privacy from having device-based features. Our reason to choose this particular workflow is the explicit control around optional Foleil online assistance within the same app as manual records and planning. We do not compare unseen provider retention practices or suggest that all external AI services use the same policy.

The evidence and a practical example

Imagine wanting the food and training tools while pausing Foleil's external AI. You switch Use Sprout's AI off and continue with the available manual or on-device routes. A relevant feature can show that the service is off and offer the consent path, without that card itself submitting a question.

The evidence is the saved off state, the visible service disclosure and the absence of newly accepted requests to that service while off. Coach data selections are not per-category external sharing switches. If you submit free text or a photo through an enabled online route, that content itself can reveal sensitive information. Review the actual route rather than relying on an assumption that a single word such as private explains every data movement.

Frequently asked questions

Is Sprout’s AI off by default?

No. It starts on after the required agreement. You can turn it off in Settings and see the recorded choice.

Does turning it off delete earlier submissions?

No. Already submitted information follows the applicable provider and privacy terms. Withdrawal concerns new requests to that service.

Are Coach data choices external sharing switches?

No. They select coach facts and charts. They are not per-category controls for every external AI feature or provider.
