We give training, food and recovery a shared starting place. Today uses labelled rings, tiles and a brief to show the shape of the day, then gives you routes into the activity behind each summary. You can orient yourself without opening every destination first.
The advantage is a readable overview that leads somewhere useful. A graphical summary should make the next action easier to find, while keeping the explanation available when you need it. It should not hide missing data behind a full-looking ring or make a score seem more certain because it is drawn attractively.
How it works
Open Today for the available day summary, progress rings and selected feature tiles. You can arrange supported tiles and open the detailed screen behind a summary, while the brief's explanation stays available through its information control. Missing or unavailable inputs retain their own states instead of being treated as completed goals.
Why it matters
A dashboard has two jobs: make the important information findable and preserve its meaning when you inspect it. Too many paragraphs compete with the day's actions; an unexplained graphic can create the opposite problem. Our approach keeps the overview graphical and the reasons close by.
Apple's accessibility guidance, accessed 19 October 2026, recommends simple interactions and information that does not rely on a single sensory method. This supports labels and accessible descriptions alongside graphics. It is a design basis, not proof that every person finds one layout easier or that a daily summary improves health.
Compared with other health and fitness tools
Garmin describes customisable Home cards, activity history and compatible-device wellness information in its Garmin Connect overview, published 3 June 2026 and accessed 19 October 2026. Foleil does not claim the customisable home screen as an exclusive feature. Our reason to choose Today is its route into the particular training, meal preparation and reflection tools in this app. The comparison is about a connected daily workflow, not a contest based on the number of cards.
The evidence and a practical example
Consider an invented day with a session scheduled, dinner to organise and some water already logged. Today gives those tasks a common starting point. You can inspect a ring, open the relevant detail or use a logging control, then return to the same overview. A scheduled workout remains different from a completed session.
The evidence is the relationship between the summary and the detail it opens. A number should agree with its underlying record and preserve the relevant date and availability. You can choose a layout that keeps the useful tiles near the top, without treating a hidden tile as deleted data. This example describes navigation and presentation; it is not a captured result from a real person's diary.
Frequently asked questions
Does Today replace the detailed screens?
No. It is the shared starting point. Tiles and summaries open the relevant training, food, recovery or record detail.
Can I choose the layout?
Supported Today tiles can be arranged through the layout controls. Changing the view is different from changing the underlying records.
Does a scheduled session close a completion ring?
A plan and a saved completed activity are different. Review the underlying record when interpreting a progress summary.
